Reporting Requirements
Cedarmere Foundation capacity building grants are generally expected to be expended within one year of the time funds are disbursed. Our policies require that you send us a final report when you have completed the activities for which the Foundation has provided funding. The brief Final Report Form which can be accessed by clicking on the link below includes just five questions for you to provide an update on the impact of your capacity building activities along with financial information about the grant. We do not want your reporting responsibility to become burdensome, but we appreciate the opportunity to learn from your experiences in order to continually improve the effectiveness of our future grantmaking.
For organizations that implemented capacity building activities with their 2020 grants from the Cedarmere Foundation, final grant reports are due no later than January 31, 2022. Organizations that received a general operating grant in 2020 are not required to submit a final report in January 2022.
For organizations who have received a capacity building grant in 2021, final reports are due no later than January 31, 2023.
If you have received approval to extend your capacity building activities beyond 12 months, please send the Foundation an Interim Report covering the first 12 months’ activities funded by this grant no later than the deadline listed above that applies to the grant on which you are reporting. Your Interim Report should include the following information:
-
- List of activities you have completed to date and how you are utilizing the knowledge gained
- Details on how much of the grant has already been expended and the balance that remains
- List of all activities that still need to be completed
Then, submit a final report using the Foundation’s Final Report Form when you have completed all approved activities that were outlined in your proposal.
If your organization has chosen to work with a consultant as part of your capacity building activities, we ask you to do the following: If your consultant provides you with any kind of summary or status report, evaluation, or other commentary on the current state and/or progress of the organization or of key groups or other personnel within the organization, please attach copies of the consultant’s report(s) to your final report to the Foundation.
The Foundation’s Final Report Form is available in MS Word format. To submit it, open the file, insert your answers after each question, save the file to your hard drive, and then send it back to the Cedarmere Foundation at info@CedarmereFoundation.org as an email attachment. No hard copies are required unless you are unable to send us electronic files of all the requested information. If it is necessary to send us hard copies of any part of your report, please mail them to the Cedarmere Foundation at: 2212 Queen Anne Ave. N., #708, Seattle, WA 98109.
If you have any questions about these reporting requirements, feel free to contact the Foundation with your questions.
